The Auberge du Haut Salat in Seix is under new ownership and is well worth a visit! The menu at 18 euros is fantastic - should really be at least 25 euros - and it's a refreshing change to see a dessert menu that doesn't feature creme brulee or mousse au chocolat! Really impressed. Plus it's a gorgeous setting...

Perhaps it was disguised as "crème brûlée"?

We live in Seix and do not rate the restaurant at all despite the new owners (not so new now) -
so we are glad someone has had a good experience there. Our Chambre D' Hote guests would not recommend it....................Now if you visit the Gourmandine Restaurant - also in Seix- on the corner near the bridge
you are in for a treat.

Not just one good experience - we ate at the Haut Salat 3 nights as friends were staying there on demi-pension - and it was excellent every night. Maybe they've settled in and found their stride?

As for the accents hhoo - blame bad habits acquired on French cycling forums!

We have had very good experiences at both, although I am usually defeated by the portion size at La Gourmandine. We're spoilt for choice in Seix!
