Auckland to Ariège The longest day(s)

After a couple of months touring Australia and NZ 8-) Its time to go home! with a four year old Oh No! :roll:
Qantas Auckland to Melbourne 3.5hr flight.
3hrs in transit at Melbourne.
Melbourne to Hong Kong 8hrs.
2hrs in Hong Kong in transit.
Hong kong to London 12hrs.
Heathrow to London train 30mins,
Cab in london to another train station 15mins,
Train to oxfordshire 1hr.
Overnight stop.
collect dog. Load all in car; drive to Dover via tescos,
Cross to France 3hr drive to near Paris.
Overnight stop.
Drive 13 hrs via Bordeaux to collect other car in garage for repairs, arrive in Ariège at 11pm.
Cook full english breakfast at 11.30pm with bottle of Bordeaux

Cor blimey. In awe of such a marathon journey. My only comment is to say....do you always go from the coast via Paris? We're long practised at the gentle art of driving south, and reckon it's far easier doing Abbeville- Rouen and ever downwards. But after all you'd done already, the Paris ring road was as nothing I'm guessing. Welcome back!

My partners parents live just to the north of Paris; so a must stopover. No choice. The adventure of the Paris ringroad begins! Roadwork city! :roll:

As excuses go, that's convincing. Free beds in Paris must be good too!

Paris is one of the most interesting places If you have the time to look. I have looked and still look for more time to do so. Like London Village; I lived there; you could spend a lifetime to try to discover it all and you havn't enough time to see all.

Am trying to see as much as I can.
